About us

There have been some major changes throughout the fireworks industry recently and all of these changes are for the improvement of the fireworks industry and most importantly the safety of all concerned.

All Fired Up Fireworks are responsible for the safety of spectators, crew, animals, buildings and vehicles. All equipment used in our displays has been tested and designed to meet the Australian Standards for outdoor pyrotechnic displays and the Qld Code of Practice. We follow certain regulations in regards to separation distances between crowds and buildings etc, where possible we double these distances for extra safety. We also carry all our own firefighting equipment. We also look after crowd control with our own barriers and signage to notify spectators where the firing site is and what time it will be firing. Along with this we have all items in wooden boxes for extra safety. Also were possible we fire from an approved firing trailor.  We keep the firing area secure until there is no risk involved. AFU checks and cleans site after firing and most times will visit site next morning to make sure of cleanup and site was left as we found it.

Most of our displays are electronically firied display, also the crew has full safety gear and are easily recognised by their uniforms. At displays the crew have two way radios for easy communication and extra safety to all concerned.

All firework content is transported to the sight in strick accordance with the AEC. A fully licensed and approved trailer for the transportation of explosives is also used.

We can also supply you with a letter to inform surrounding residents or business explaing that there is a firework display happening and it’s fully approved and licensed. This is necessary for family pets etc.

All Fired Up Fireworks carry Public Liability Insurance of 20 Million Dollars (Underwritten by Lloyds of London which are AAA rated)

We notify all relevant authorities such as:-

  • Department of Mines & Energy
  • Police Station
  • Fire Station
  • Council
  • Air Traffic Control (If the display is in a Flight Path)
  • Air Sea Rescue & Water Police (If the display is on water)

All Fired Up Fireworks stores fireworks at the government storage magazine at Helidon.

All fired up fireworks promotes high safety and high entertainment.

Your Responsibility

As the event organiser / planner you have the very daunting job of managing and integrating all the elements of the function. For this reason it is important to have enough lead time so we can creatively plan your display to your vision. Once we have met with you and have the Terms and Conditions Contract signed, we will commence preparing your display.

Even though we:-
  • Complete a Site Inspection, Risk Assessment, Work Proceedures
  • Carry $20 Million Public Liability Insurance
  • Submit all Permits and Notifications (Police, Fire Authority, Council, CASA, etc)
  • Help organise Letterbox Drop of surrounding Area's (If event isnt advertised)
it does not remove the shared responsibility of the organiser to ensure the safety of the event.

Helpful hints to avoid common mistakes
  • Never fire the display early. At a public display the patrons won’t forgive you if they miss it and you will draw bad publicity.
  • Advertise the starting Time of the Fireworks, this will help with neighbours being informed with regards to animals and other pets.
  • Always put the display last at a public event. Advertised fireworks will hold people at a school event, sports carnival, festival etc well after they may have gone home, increasing the takings for the day. Once the display is fired, people will leave immediately.
  • If you have a small budget be guided by the pyrotechnician – there is nothing worse than a display that just pops along. It is preferable to have a reduced display time or bring the display in close to the people with special effects or a ground display.
  • Don't have a too long a display relative to the location. Clever use of the fireworks will be appreciated a lot more than just mass effects in the air for a long period of time.
  • Music – always choose your music carefully and relate it back to your audience. Play to your audience’s emotions and they will thoroughly enjoy the display & remember the entire event for a long time as their subconscious will feel everything was in tune with them.
  • It is also important to ensure that the music is "fireworks friendly". We need to be able to draw on the highs and lows of the music for a pyromusical to be exciting and emotional.
